Equipping the Chinese Church

A Partnership in Theological Research and Church Ministry

At the heart of this initiative is the ¡°Three-In-One¡± model of ministry, a dynamic integration of academic research, theological education and vibrant church life. Designed to bridge the worlds of scholarship and discipleship, the initiative equips Chinese Christian leaders with the fruits of theological research and multimedia resources, to fuel a new generation of faith and influence.

Our Mission

The Biola Chinese Initiative seeks to fulfill its mission through the following goals:

  • Streamlining the ¡°supply chain¡± between research centers and churches, ensuring that high-quality theological research becomes more accessible and impactful.
  • Creating theological research that reflects the socio-cultural realities of Chinese societies.
  • Establishing Biola and Talbot as a key research platform for Chinese theologians and scholars in North America.

Our Program

The initiative seeks partnerships with Chinese churches and parachurch organizations. Its ministry encompasses:

  • Providing speakers and resources for church training.
  • Serving as a ¡°learning hub¡± for pastors and elders and fostering interaction between scholars and church leaders.
  • Partnering with multimedia ministries to produce talks, podcasts, blogs, AI chatbots and other resources to broaden the accessibility of Christian theology ¡ª including biblical studies, spirituality and apologetics ¡ª within the contemporary Chinese context. These resources aim to support Chinese churches in theological training, discipleship and evangelism.
