First Year Residence Halls

Each of our first-year residence halls — Alpha, Hart and Sigma — are amazing places for students to begin their college journey. All three are coed buildings with same-gender floors and include laundry, lounge space and a common kitchen area. Alpha and Hart are “community style” dorms with large shared bathrooms on each floor, and Sigma is a “suite style” dorm with bathrooms shared between two-room suites.

Inspo for Life on Campus

An area rug makes a dorm room surprisingly homey
A mini fridge with a matching snack shelf might be the move
How ‘bout a mini hoop?
Consider a cozy study couch
And don’t forget a laundry hamper, bag or backpack
Games are a great way to get to know people. Our favs: Exploding Kittens, Dutch Blitz, Code Names, Bananagrams, Dominion, Skyjo and Uno (standard or spicy!)
Spikeball has seen a spike in popularity on campus. Consider grabbing a volleyball for the sand court or a basketball for the Alpha Hall hoop
Scooters remain a Biola mobility staple
Skateboards, longboards and bikes are great options too. Every dorm has its own bike rack!
Be sure to bring a blanket for lounging on the lawn…
… or for a beach bonfire
And don’t forget to bring a wetsuit.
