Built in 1977, Sigma is part of 'upper campus,' which also includes Alpha, Blackstone and Horton Hall! Sigma is staffed by a Resident Director and Resident Advisors. Sigma is a unique housing option due to the suite style set-up (two rooms sharing an individual bathroom), offering an alternative to the community bathrooms presented in other halls. Sigma also offers three lobbies and kitchens, the optimum spaces for community!

Floor Plan
Plan your space! This floor plan shows the dimensions of a typical room in this residence hall. (Layout and measurements may vary somewhat from room to room.) To experiment with how you and your roommate(s) can lay out your space, just print out this page, cut out the furniture, and experiment with different arrangements. ӣƵ Sigma
Built in 1977, Sigma is a suite-style dorm that houses first year students in suite-style rooms; meaning, two rooms share one bathroom. Sigma is a three-story “L” shaped building with three lobbies and kitchens located in the bend of each floor. It also shares a gorgeous new courtyard with Blackstone Hall.
Sigma is distinctive in that it has suite-style rooms; instead of large, common bathrooms, each two-bedroom suite has its own bathroom, and each room has an in-room sink/vanity. This provides both additional privacy and the additional responsibility of keeping the bathroom clean. There is a large lounge on each of the three stories, with an attached kitchen on each level. Sigma also houses 6 laundry rooms, two on each floor. Sigma is co-ed, with male and female students living in separate sections of the building, while sharing the lounges, kitchens and laundry facilities.
Sigma Hall's doors are secured by an electronic access system, so only students can access the building during the day, and only residents may enter the building at night. Each individual room is key-locked for student security. Security cameras in outside and common areas are monitored 24 hours per day, and Campus Safety patrols campus regularly to ensure student security at all times.

Hello everyone! I am Franklyn! As this new journey starts, I am excited about being the Resident Director for Sigma. A cool blessing is that I get to do this with my family (wife and two little girls). I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa- which is located on the most southern tip of the African continent.
I completed my undergrad at The University of the Western Cape, which is in Cape Town. After completing this degree, I joined Operation Mobilization (a cross cultural missions organization) and moved to the beautiful country of Zambia. During this time I focused on Sports Ministry and Leadership development in a number of different countries in Southern Africa. While living in Zambia I met a Biolan whom I married.
After transitioning to the USA, I completed my masters from Biola’s Crowell School of Business. The study bug kept pulling me and I enrolled in a doctoral program at Biola. Specifically in Intercultural Education! I am almost at the finish line, pray for me please!
With that said, I am so excited about being the RD for Sigma and to journey with all the students over the next few years!
