Biola Startup Competition
Hosted by the Office of Innovation, the Biola Startup Competition aims to foster kingdom-minded, Christ-honoring entrepreneurship across the university community, and develop greater opportunities for redemptive entrepreneurship and leadership. Throughout the competition, participants go through a year-long robust program to help guide them in building a successful venture. We bring in leading entrepreneurs and industry professionals to mentor and lead workshops on the most important aspects of developing their businesses. In the end, we award a total of $20,000 in capital to teams that show the most growth and promise. Learn more on the startup website.
Idea Pitch Competition
The IDEA Pitch Competition serves as the annual kickoff to the Biola Startup Competition each fall semester, inviting students to share their one-minute startup ideas before a panel of judges, peers and the Biola community. This high-energy event encourages students to take the first step in turning their ideas into action by presenting them with confidence and clarity. Participants receive valuable feedback, connect with mentors, and gain exposure to the entrepreneurial process in a supportive, faith-driven environment. Winners receive funding or scholarships to help prototype their ideas and continue developing them through the Startup Competition program.

Innovation Fair
The Innovation Fair takes place every fall and spring semester and is open to all majors across the Biola community. This program provides a platform for students, alumni, and staff who have small businesses or startups to showcase and sell their products or services. Participants gain hands-on experience in testing pricing, customer demand and product development while building confidence as entrepreneurs. The Office of Innovation supports these endeavors by providing mentorship, booth spaces, and printing resources to help participants create a strong presence and learn the practical side of entrepreneurship.
Alumni Incubator Program
The Alumni Incubator Program equips Biola graduates with the support they need to launch and scale their ventures. Through free access to workspace, mentorship and advisory services, alumni can continue developing their ideas in a collaborative, faith-driven environment. The program empowers Biola entrepreneurs to create, innovate and lead ventures that make a redemptive impact in their communities.

Biola Entrepreneurship Society
The Biola Entrepreneurship Society (BES) is a student-led community for innovative thinkers and self-starters from all majors who are passionate about faith-driven entrepreneurship. BES offers students opportunities for collaboration and mentorship to help develop redemptive ventures that honor Christ. A place where entrepreneurial leaders are formed through learning and collaboration, cultivating Biola’s culture of innovation and passing it on to future innovators. The society meets at least once a month for informational, social and networking events, often in partnership with the Biola Startup Competition and the Office of Innovation.
