"Spiritual formation isn’t what most people think and that’s good news."
Step into a conversation that will challenge assumptions and awaken a deeper hunger for life in Christ.

The Institute for Spiritual Formation (ISF) at Talbot School of Theology invites you to an inspiring virtual evening with Dr. Kyle Strobel, Director of the ISF and Associate Professor of Spiritual Theology at Biola University.

In this special Talbot Live event—“What If Spiritual Formation Is Not What You Think?” Dr. Strobel will unpack how our modern assumptions about spiritual growth can actually distract us from genuine transformation in Christ. Drawing from Scripture, theology, and decades of experience guiding students and pastors, he’ll invite you to reimagine spiritual formation as life rooted in God’s grace and presence rather than human effort.

The evening will feature a short lecture followed by a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Strobel as he addresses real questions about faith, discipleship, and spiritual growth in today’s church.

Whether you’re a student, pastor, ministry leader, or simply someone desiring to grow deeper in your faith, this event will offer fresh insights, practical wisdom, and spiritual encouragement to help you live more fully in Christ.
Attendees will also get the chance to learn more about Biola’s ISF programs, including the M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care, M.A. in Spiritual Formation, and the Certificate in Spiritual Formation—each designed to equip believers to lead others in Christ-centered transformation.

Register today to secure your spot! Space is limited for this live experience with Dr. Strobel. Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired, challenged, and reawakened to the true heart of spiritual formation.

This is a virtual event, and you will receive the Zoom link via email after registration.
