Family and friends of current Biola students are invited to attend Family Weekend 2025.

We're planning fun events for families and students to spend intentional time together. Enjoy activities on Biola's campus and explore the surrounding Los Angeles area! Events are optional, as this weekend is designed for you to create memories with your students.

Biola Welcome Hour & Check In

  • 5–6 p.m.

  • Come say hello and ask us questions! Biola staff will be outside the Biola Cafe to greet you.

Dinner in the Cafe

  • 6–7:30 p.m.
  • Cafe
  • Enjoy a classic dinner in BIola's Cafe with your student and make sure to get a cone with your student's favorite...Dole Whip. Stay in the Cafe or take it to-go and grab a seat on Metzger Lawn for Punk-N-Pie. Payment will be taken directly from Cafe staff. Please note: Biola students can use their ID card/meal plan.

Punk N Pie Student Talent Show

  • 8–10 p.m.
  • Metzger Lawn
  • Watch Biola students show off their skills at our annual talent show and enjoy free mini-pumpkin pie. Bring blankets or chairs to enjoy the show.

Holy Spirit Symposium

  • Join the Center of the Study of the Work and Ministry of the Holy Spirit Today for the biennial Holy Spirit Academic Symposium. This year’s theme, Holy Spirit-Empowered Evangelism and Missions, will focus on a theological examination of pneumatological encounters in conversion and mission.

  • Admissions Welcome Center
  • High school siblings of current Biola students are invited to explore Biola for their own exclusive Biola experience!

Campus Visit — Free Time

  • 10:30–11:45 a.m. & 1:15–2:45 p.m.
  • Various locations across campus
  • Journey through some of Biola's schools and experience hands-on activities. No registration is required. Activities will be posted soon.

Eagles BBQ on the Lawn

  • 11:45 a.m.
  • Metzger Lawn
  • Enjoy a casual lunch with your student and family and experience some of the Biola students' favorite lawn games, activities for kids and more to come!

Family Activity — Kickball Tournament

  • 3 p.m.

  • Enjoy some friendly competition with other Biola families led by special guest team captains.

Women's Basketball Scrimmage

  • 4–6 p.m.
  • Visit the Women's Basketball team in Chase Gymnasium and watch them scrimmage!

33rd Annual PRISM Concert

  • 7:30 p.m.
  • Crowell Music Building
  • Created in 1992, the annual PRISM Concert has become an integral component of our fall concert series, offering guests a wonderful glimpse into the spectrum of talent housed in the Conservatory of Music. Ensembles large and small, as well as student soloists, unite in a program demonstrating musical and artistic excellence and great spirit.

    Purchase tickets early, as this concert sells out.

The Elisabeth Elliot Exhibit Guided Tour

  • 10:45–11:45 a.m.
  • Library
  • The Biola Library will host Through Gates of Splendor: The Elisabeth Elliot Story, a traveling exhibition developed in collaboration with the and The . The exhibit explores the life and legacy of Elisabeth Elliot, focusing on her faith and resilience following the death of her husband during missionary work in Ecuador.

School of Science, Technology and Health Open Houses

  • LIM (for science and technology majors), Soubirou (for health majors)
  • LIM Open House â€” Families can walk freely around LIM to check out the spaces. We will have signs across the building of specifics of where to go (i.e robotics space (LIM 084), Science Lab (LIM 156)).
    Soubirou Open House — Meet the Associate Dean of the health division to guide you through the nursing, OT, Kinesiology and Public Health spaces.

1:15-2:45 p.m. — Biola Experience

  • Join the Snyder School of Cinema & Media Arts for a screening of an award-winning student film about a young woman who must learn to believe in make-believe when she finds herself whisked away to the magical land of Nod. Stay afterward for a Q&A with the filmmakers!
